about me

I am an aspiring author currently working on getting my debut out there. I live and work in the beautiful Hunter Region of New South Wales Australia, on the traditional lands of the Wonnarua people, and I extend deep respect and gratitude to the traditional custodians who continue to care for this land and share their knowledge and connection.

My qualifications and career outside of writing are in social work. I have obtained both Undergraduate and Postgraduate qualifications in this area. My social work background and career influence on the way I approach writing thanks to the interest it gives me in telling diverse human stories through complex characters and storylines.

In 2021, I started writing my debut novel, The Barren Peace, and this became my focus and passion. It was a work that aimed to explore our human experience and themes and concerns that would be highly familiar in a otherworld setting, including relationships, the impact of war and violence and the difficult choices humans have to make.

Whilst I never saw myself going down the science-fiction pathway originally, I felt the genre leant itself to what The Barren Peace became and I aim to continue to expand the universe.

In 2025, I also started drafting The World Walker Chronicles, which I am still proud to be working on. Jack Cassidy’s adventures are allowing me to experiment with combining the literary and the speculative.

The AuthorSpace is a place where I plan to share parts of my writing journey. I hope that you enjoy the reads, takes and random thoughts I share there. It may also even become a place for short stories and poems.
